Instruction

Instruction

Resources for teaching impact-centered statistical collaboration in consulting, statistics, and data science courses.

Instructors are welcome to adapt these materials to their own students, course structure, and teaching context.

Suggested Teaching Sequence

A short pre-read, a focused class session, and practical follow-through can help students connect statistical work to the impact it is meant to enable.

  1. Before Class

    Set up the conversation.

Assign the Student Pre-Read and ask students to reflect on a past or upcoming project.

  2. During Class

    Make the model concrete.

Introduce the five components, work through a complete example, and give students time to practice applying the concepts.

  3. After Class

    Put it into practice.

Encourage students to experiment in their collaborations and reflect on how their analytical work translates into impact.
